Hurricane Helene will rapidly intensify

My confidence level is high that a major hurricane will form in the eastern Gulf of Mexico over warm and deep water soon. Helene will get a name today as it fights off wind shear and heads north into the Gulf of Mexico. It will have free reign to get strong quickly over needed fuel for the soon to be hurricane thanks the untouched Gulf of Mexico.

A worst-case scenario look at the situation shows a storm that drops in pressure quickly and strikes the Big Bend area of Florida with devastating impacts.

I am most concerned about surge and wind on the northeast quadrant.

Then the attention shifts to inland flooding.

Make preparations now. Time is running out.

This article breaks down why you should prepare for a cat 5. Watch the pressure fall.
